Escape from New York — CineAnime

Call me Snake.

John Carpenter’s 1981 dystopian thriller: Manhattan walled off as a maximum security prison in 1997, a one-eyed outlaw sent in to rescue the President, and a clock ticking in his own arteries. The Hill Valley CineAnime treatment sends Snake through the ruined skyline in a 90s anime lens, which suits a film already built on shadowed streets, burning barrels and a hero who would rather be anywhere else. Printed on Enhanced Matte Art paper with archival inks.
